Based in Singapore, Chang Kai Xiang is a bilingual screenwriter and director with over 10 years of experience in the media production industry.  

Kai has since written/directed award winning short films, TV series (English and Chinese) and feature films for Hong Kong and Thailand.

His first feature film script "殘影空間 Shadows" was featured at festivals such as BIFAN and BIFFF, premiering at the 2020 Hong Kong International Film Festival.

His short film "Final Exam" has won the Audience Choice and Biogen Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2020, Japan.

Kai's short film "Home is where the heart is" has been developed into a TV series, which was nominated for Best Drama Series/Telefilm Made for A Single Asian Market at the ContentAsia Awards 2022. It has also been picked up by Netflix. 

Currently, Kai serves as the Head Writer, Writer, and Director for  TV series "If Tomorrow Comes 再见明天" commissioned by Channel 8 Mediacorp. 

Simultaneously, he is also passionately developing his first feature film, "Malevolent Realm 牽亡魂," selected for the 2023 Golden Horse FPP.
